Two Poems
calligraphy school dropout
my low sodium ham radio balls
first pierced by guiding rods
I’ll be in the lost ark warehouse
when metal catheter teeth
pin me to the corkboard
the sum of my existence
cut down to a single powder blue ribbon
with the only words that will echo
through the aquarium glass of generations:
honorable mention
further discussions on patina
blinded by the laser beams breaking
in the spokes of double bridges
two river convergence folk discussing estuaries
in caption bubbled crosshatched clouds
before clusters of army green almonds
under sycamores carrying golden bags
deciding which domesticated animals have souls and why
in agreement that soul criteria are arbitrary
there are no ponies in heaven because the shape of their pupils
a blanket of warm air
between the fold of the mountain
see further discussions on patina
and all around are the glowing filaments of sunlight galvanized
over thread moss
this over red velvet cake topsoil
this under mountains rolled through a rock tumbler
this standing next to another pioneering bottle garden
dying alone so many times that
it’s starting to make sense
look for me reconstructed in the pollen
it’s amazing how thin the air between two people
can get sometimes and still be there all the same
so aware of itself as a barrier
that it’s sickening
