Two Poems by Kevin Stack

Tide Pen

I did not bring a Tide Pen

so the Merlot will stay on the blouse.

Come back to the cellar, please,

they haven't served the seabass.

When we resurface we won't

need colorfast anything, I promise.

Where are kept the stain fighting crystals?

Modern Woe

I confess to annunciate

parts obscured:

pleurisy

passive incomes.

Great is Diana, I confess.

I have no moden woe.

I have no bone to pick with sorcery.

Let microplastics have its epoch.

Kevin Stack lives in Los Angeles. He recently returned to writing poetry after taking a twelve year break. His chapbook, Who Harvests These Detours, was self-released in August 2024.
